- Early-years Storytime (every Thursday at 2pm during term time)
Thursday 12th September, 2pm : During Heritage Open Days, we will be focusing on Berwick-based stories during our Berwick Museum and Art Gallery story time sessions. We will read The Berwick Bear and His Fiddle (Thursday 5th) and then The Bear in the Boat in the Borders (Thursday 12th), both by local author Cara Lockhart Smith. After the story, get crafty with our parent & child activities themed on bears and boats.
- Museum Free Entry Saturday 14th September 10-4 and Sunday 15th September 10-4
Everyone can enjoy free entry into Berwick Museum and Art Gallery, all weekend on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September. Come and have a look at the Anglo-Saxon gold cross found on the banks of the Tweed, the Berwick Burrell collection, two original Lowry paintings (one of Berwick and one of Spittal), and more.
- Lowry’s Love of Berwick talk Sunday 15th September, 3pm
Curator Anne Moore will talk about LS Lowry, with special reference to the paintings and drawings featuring Berwick, including recent acquisitions for Berwick Museum and Art Gallery. Drop in, no need to pre-book.
