BERWICK parents today are meeting with Northumberland County Council in what seems to be a hurriedly-arranged discussion. It’s understood in Morpeth at County Hall.

‘A small group of us have been asked to meet with some members of the school reorganisation team and NCC to discuss what we want to achieve from a public meeting,’ said a Facebook post by Elaine Younger, a member of BSDB (Berwick Schools Deserve Better).

‘We are going down with the intention of making sure a date is set for that public meeting. We will also aim to get as much information from them as we can with regards to what assurances they can give us about their plan for transitioning our children without further disruption.’
