Berwick coffee shop and roaster, Northern Edge, is getting ready to open a second café on the High Street in addition to its established Silver Street premises. The location will be next door to Junk & Disorderly homestore and new jobs will be created.

Jimmy Strength Coffee; one of the Berwick-inspired roasts from Northern Edge.

Northern Edge belongs to Dan Inglis and started up in 2014, roasting coffee in Spittal. This was followed by a move to a Ramparts Business Park warehouse in 2018 along with a takeaway coffee outlet. And now the business is based in Silver Street.

According to the Facebook announcement this week: There are two full time positions available at the new coffee house and while experience is preferred full training will be given. There are also part-time openings at the Silver Street café.
