The amazing efforts of Isabella Ayre and Olivia Bell have been rewarded with a coveted Rainbow Gold Award and is the highest award a Rainbow can earn, writes Pauline Molloy. Olivia and Isabella are the first girls in Berwick Division to achieve this award. A really special achievement 👏 👏 👏

In order to gain the award the girls had to earn badges, carry out lots of different challenges and learn lots of new skills. After they completed all 6 Theme awards and all 6 skill builder badges they also had to complete a Gold Challenge.

Isabella wrote a poem and Olivia made a scrapbook and both shared all the fun times they have had in Rainbows. The girls said they have enjoyed; having fun, making friendships, games, crafts , outdoor adventures and enjoying s’mores around a campfire.

The girls are now ready for the next stage of their journey in Girlguiding and will be joining the Brownies in our division.

The last verse of Isabella’s poem sums it up:

My time in Rainbows is almost done, I truly had so much fun
So if you are looking for for something to do, come and join the Rainbow crew!

If you are inspired by Olivia and Isabella’s achievements and would like to find out more about a local Rainbow group, the name of the group is: 9th Berwick Rainbows and they meet on Tuesday evenings in term time.

For more information contact, [email protected]

Rainbows welcomes all girls to come together to laugh, learn and have fun in a creative, safe space.
