Town Councillors meet on Monday 23rd February to decide whether to proceed with the purchase of 22-24 Hide Hill, Berwick, the former Barclays bank building.
This is the first opportunity for the public to hear the reasoning behind the proposed purchase since it first came to council in June 2025 as reported in The Bridge
Town Councillors propose buying and refurbishing the building for use primarily as their own premises, with potential additional uses.

Since June councillors and officers have met behind closed doors to progress the proposal, including informally agreeing an offer of £322,500 of tax-payer funds on the building.
This purchase is among the issues to be debated on Monday 23rd February at 6pm.
Members of the public are welcome to attend. [more details on the meeting will be added here in due course]
