Alnwick-based restaurant Sher Khan took the top spot last month in the English Curry Awards 2025.
It was also crowned the best of its kind in the North East.
Now the owners are bringing their top Indian cooking to Tweedmouth.
The opening date is hoped to be around 25 September.

I have not heard of “The Bridge”. I lived and worked in London for over 40 years and moved to Berwick-upon-Tweed about 14 years ago. I ‘discovered’ Berwick when taking the coastal route detour during a tiring drive from London to visit the early ‘Fringe’ in Edinburgh. Found the town, its History, architecture and local people fascinating, intriguing and very welcoming – in that order. A friend visiting from Cambo spotted this online article about the imminent opening in Tweedmouth of ‘Best Curry House’…….can’t wait.
