    Hello The Bridge.
Whilst I attended the Town Council meeting of the 25th of November I was astonished at the disrespectful atmosphere in the Council Meeting room once the Editor of our Local Paper “THE BRIDGE ”  was making any comments. There seemed to be resentment from Council towards everything that the Editor said.
All comments made should be shown the same respect in the Council Meeting which I don’t think they were in the time I was in the room.
I would also like to make the comment that standards since I was a Councillor have deteriorated.
No longer do the Mayor or Deputy Mayor wear their office chains at a full Council meeting .
All our history and ceremony gone down the drain.
No respect shown to the office of the Mayor by Councillors when speaking or when asking questions.
It may be the modern way but I would question is it the right way.
    Kindest regards,
    Ex Deputy Mayor
    Robert Bruce.
