MP calls public meeting with Santander

David Smith MP for North Northumberland has called a meeting for residents of Berwick to give their views on the decision to close the Berwick branch of Santander bank in Marygate.
‘Following my meeting with Santander last month about their decision to close the Berwick branch, I’ve arranged for a public meeting to give residents the opportunity to air their views,’ said Mr Smith in a statement.

‘This closure has real consequences for people in Berwick and surrounding communities, and it’s only right that residents have the chance to put their concerns to the bank face‑to‑face.’
Residents are invited to attend and hear directly from Santander representatives, and to have their say.
