On Sunday 7th September there will be an extra early morning train for the Great North Run. Departs Berwick 07.56, arriving Newcastle 08.50.
Due to engineering work, all trains serving Berwick become rail replacement buses on the weekends of 13,14 September and 20, 21 September.
The new timetable from 14th December onwards has now been confirmed with through trains to and from London reduced from hourly to one every two
hours for most of the day and journey times extended by 10 minutes due to additional stops.
On the positive side, however, there will be later evening final trains to Berwick from both Edinburgh and Newcastle and a 20.03 from London on Mondays to Fridays. There will also be an earlier train to Edinburgh, the first few weekday departures from Berwick being 06.17, 07.06, 07.45, 08.08.
